Description
11/11/24 - This is a good example of an early Colt manufactured blued 1911 magazine for WW2. The body of this magazine retains some of its original blued finish with finish loss and thinning throughout. According to Charles Clawson's book on 1911 and 1911a1's, these magazines were approved for use in September of 1940. Additionally, these magazines were issued with new 1911A1's starting with serial number 719753. However, the older style two tone magazines were still in use and service until mid 1943. This magazine is unmarked which is correct for Colt Patent Fire Arms Mfg. Co.. The spring on this magazine remains strong and is fully functional.Specifications
