Description
5/14/25 - This is an original Third Reich-era Christmas acknowledgment card, dated Berlin, Christmas 1940, and issued under the name of Adolf Hitler. The card is printed on cream-colored stock and features the gold-embossed Reich eagle with swastika above Adolf Hitler’s name. The message was typed in German and is accompanied by a facsimile signature of Adolf Hitler in black ink. These cards were mass-produced during the war and sent to individuals who had participated in events at Hitler’s residence or contributed artistically to the regime. In this particular card, Hitler expresses thanks for pleasant times spent together, acknowledges the recipient's artistic participation, and offers a package of coffee as a Christmas gift, stating that it came from a larger foreign donation. The message ends with his best wishes for Christmas and the New Year. The card shows the typical high-quality Chancellery stationery and printed signature, which are consistent with known examples from this period. Since publishing our Youtube video on this gun, we did some more research and have since lowered the price.
Here is the translation:
"Berlin, Christmas 1940
In grateful memory of the pleasant hours which I was able to experience in my house thanks to your artistic participation, I ask you to accept the package of coffee as a small Christmas gift. It comes from a larger shipment that was donated to me from abroad.
With my warmest wishes for Christmas and the New Year!
Yours
