Description
5/26/22 - This is a rare WW1 production German Stirnpanzer helmet attachment with the original leather attachment strap. These attached to the lugs found on M1917 German helmets, and was used as an additional armored reinforcement for the front of a soldier's helmet. These were issued to machine gunners and those who were "high priority" targets. This example has some mild surface rust and typical aging throughout the metal, but there is no pitting or major issues. No dents. The metal is maker stamped with a bell logo and numbered "160". The leather strap has some cracking but is still completely in tact.Specifications
