Description
7/5/22 - This is an original handmade Samurai Sword from the 17th century. The blade is in great condition but could use a cleaning / polish as the tempered edge is almost no longer visible, and there's no evidence of the graining in the metal. The metal generally has a "cloudy" appearance from aging. The edge has a small ding or dent near the tip, but is mostly in great condition. The fittings and Tsuba are in good condition but show clear aging and patina throughout. The Tsuba has a rust colored patina, as is expected on a piece this old. The handle has some cracking and surface wear. The handle doesn't match up with the hole on the tang, so there is no Mekugi included. (This also tells us the handle is most likely not original to this blade.) The tang shows correct aging for a 17th century piece. Comes with a wood scabbard that's nor original to the sword. Price reduced accordingly.Specifications
