SOLD - Late WW2 T30 Bayonet (070523-20)

Description

7/12/23 - This is an original, later WW2 production Type 30 Japanese Rifle bayonet by Jinsen Arsenal. Cited in Labar's book as LB-162 Variation R. Known as the last variation made by Jinsen. The bayonet blade is blued and unfullered with machine marks throughout and sharpening along the upper portion of the edge. Some mild finish loss but great overall condition. The straight cross guard and rectangular pommel have some spotty patina and mild corrosion as well as dark discoloration. The wood handles are rough with some mild chips and imperfections on each side. The pommel serial number puts this in the 152nd series range. Comes with a bamboo scabbard that's broken and split down the side, but still intact and fits the blade.
