8/3/23 - This is an original WW1 US Pistol / Revolver lanyard. The lanyard has a 1917 patent date on the metal clip, and no other markings. The metal retaining band is still intact with some mild surface patina and verdigris. Similar wear can be found on the metal clip as well. The chord is tight and rigid due to age, but is completely intact without any fraying. Great overall condition. Used with the M1911 and M1917 pistol and revolver.
