SOLD - NCO Jr. Officer Samurai Sword

8/1/22 - This is an original WW2 Japanese Jr. Officer / NCO sword. The sword is a later wartime production with metal fittings and handle. The handle shows surface aging and mild finish / paint loss. The blade is serial numbered 103226 and is matching to the scabbard, which is numbered at the mouth. The blade has spotty discoloration and mild surface pitting starting about halfway up the blade and continues to the tip. This looks like some mild water damage. The edge does not show any tempering nor any signs of sharpening. Towards the tip there are about 3 small chips along the edge. The metal scabbard shows surface patina and paint loss throughout, as shown in photos.
