Description
7/31/25 - This is a Pietta LeMat Cavalry .44-Cal. Black-Powder Revolver is a faithful reproduction of the original LeMat revolver, also known as the "Grape Shot Revolver." Roughly 2,900 were produced, developed in New Orleans in 1856 by Dr. Jean LeMat and backed by Pierre G.T. Beauregard, who was to become a general with the Confederacy. The rifled barrel is chambered in .44 caliber, and the shogun barrel is chambered in 20 GA. This one comes in its original matching box and owners manual. It has a deep blue high polish with beautiful case-hardening on the hammer and trigger. Beautiful checkered Walnut grips. The gun is in like-new condition with no signs of wear or use - there isn't even a roll mark on the cylinder. Stone-mint bore.
