Description
8/25/22 - This is an original WW1 Colt M1911 holster. The holster is maker stamped and dated on the back leather, but these stamps are mostly raised out of the leather and not fully visible. We can't decipher who the maker was, but we believe the date stamp reads 1912. We're not sure of this, however. Interestingly, the interior of this holster has writing from a previous owner, "T.G.R. 1st Lt. F.A. / A.E.F. / 1918". We take this to mean the veteran who owned this was a 1st Lieutenant in the American Expeditionary Forces during 1918. The holster is in excellent condition given its age, with very nice leather and all original stitching intact. The leather is soft and pliable with normal signs of aging but no excessive wear.Specifications
