9/24/24 - This is a French Lefaucheux M1854 12mm Pinfire Revolver. Presented here is a M1854 12mm Lefaucheux pinfire. Handgun was designed and produced by the highly-acclaimed inventor of European firearms, Eugene Lefaucheux. Referred to as the Model 1854, the Lefaucheux revolver is a single action, standard military caliber arm produced at his licensed production facilities at Liege, Belgium. Many were imported into this country during the Civil War. This one has Asian characters on both sides of the grips -we're not sure which language as both Japanese and Chinese use these characters on the right grip. The left grip we cannot decipher. The gun is in fair condition overall, but shows obvious brown patina, spotty oxidation, and pin-pricking throughout. Excellent bore. No FFL required.
