Description
9/13/21 - This is a rare early prototype Type 30 bayonet. The bayonet is stamped with a "M" on the pommel to denote this was a trial prior to the adoption of the design. The cross guard is serial numbered 4203, which falls within the known range of trail serial numbers. The other serial number on the side of the pommel - 117 - indicates this bayonet was later used as a training bayonet. Likely a Navy training bayonet due to the remnants of black paint. Unfortunately the blade has been sharpened, and the price is reduced accordingly. These are extremely hard to find.Specifications
