SOLD - 1944 K98 Bayonet & Scabbard

Description

9/14/21 - This K98 bayonet is in good condition and matches its scabbard. Serial number "1333a" appears on the blade and scabbard and the reverse side shows date and maker code "44 crs". The leather frog included is dated and marker marked "GFG 1942". The bayonet is waffen-proofed toward the bottom of the handle, opposite the lug button. The leather is dry and has wear throughout but is structurally intact. The scabbard does have patina throughout and a dent in the back. The bayonet's handle has patina and wear consistent with the scabbard and frog, but the blade is in great condition. The blade retains a majority of its finished other than small signs of wear toward the tip. The blade's edge is not sharpened.
