SOLD - WW1 A.C. Co. Trench Knife - 1917

9/24/18 - This is an original WW1 Trench Knife & Scabbard. The knife is the more scarce knuckle guard variation. The interior of the knuckle guard is maker stamped and dated 1917. The wood handle is excellent, as is the blade. The blade has some light spotting discoloration and a few small areas of pitting, but overall excellent bluing and never messed with. The biggest issue with this piece is the scabbard - this appears to be repainted, and we're not sure on the authenticity. At first we thought this was repro, but upon closer inspection and consultation with another collector, we think it may only be repainted / refinished - yet still not 100% sure. Priced accordingly. The blade is 100% guaranteed original and authentic.
