Description

11/1/24 - This is a nice example of a Colt Model 1849 Pocket Revolver from 1863. It is completely matching (including the barrel wedge), has a 5" barrel, and is chambered in .31 Caliber. There is a stagecoach robbery scene on the cylinder (about 90% visibility). Overall, it is in nice condition for its age, but there is brown "attic patina" throughout. Some small dings in the metal around the barrel wedge. Hints of the original case hardening visible on the frame and loading lever. Fitted with period-correct wood grips - minor bruising on both sides and a couple of scratches on the left side. Much of the bore is shiny with strong rifling, but there is some light spotty surface oxidation here and there. Fully functional. No FFL required.
