10/31/24 - This is an excellent condition U.S. 1942 bayonet made by Wilde Tool. Wilde Tool is the rarest maker of the model 1942 bayonet. This bayonet was cut down to 10" by "AFH" as indicated by the stamp on the tang. The grips are made of black plastic and do not have any chips or cracks. The blade is stamped at the ricasso with the "WT" initials, flaming bomb and dated 1942. Although the "bomb" is somewhat worn. The blade is in excellent condition and maintains almost all of its original finish, with only minor finish wear from scabbard use.
