SOLD - Takedown Luftwaffe Gravity Knife (100522-41)

Description

10/7/22 - This is an original takedown style Luftwaffe Gravity Knife. The blade is all matching with internally numbered parts stamped "332". The takedown lever and side plate both are unnumbered, however. The blade properly falls and locks into place, and the release lever is fully functional. The side pick, however, is slightly loose and hangs about 1/2 inch away from the handle if jostled. This is shown in photos. The hanlde has a name and initials scratched into each side, as shown. Most of the blued finish is worn, but there are traces of the original finish throughout. The blade has some oxidation and surface wear but overall is in good condition and has no signs of sharpening. RBN numbered, which is a factory registry / numbering system used by the Germans beginning in 1943.
