Description

1/24/25 - This is a great example of a Gautag Leipzig Badge. These badges were created in honor of the Party rally on the 21-22nd of May 1938 in Leipzig. The badge features three swords with the inscription "Ein Volk, Ein Fuhrer, Ein Reich", which translates to "One People, One Fuhrer, One Reich". Underneath this are the logos of the SA, SS, Hitler Youth, RAD, DAF and the Swastika for the Nazi Party (NSDAP). Interesting of note on this badge is the SA logo is underneath the NSDAP logo, illustrating the importance of the SA. The SA at this point in history were the largest sub-group in the NSDAP. They would eventually be replaced in importance by the SS.
