SOLD - Kreisleiter Armband

10/17/24 - This is an excellent example of a WW2 German Kreisleiter armband. Kreisleiter is a political rank within the NSDAP, and existed between 1930 and 1945. This armband is exceptional due to that by 1939 the rank of Kriesleiter was phased out of the NSDAP and replaced with several other political ranks. However, those who held the rank prior still were of that rank and could wear the armband of a Kreisleiter. Prior to being phased out, a Kreisleiter was the 4th highest political position after the Fuhrer, Reichsleiter and Gauleiter. This armband is in excellent condition and still maintains its RZM tag. Additionally, this armband has a political pip in the center of the swastika. This armband was evaluated to be authentic by Bill Shea of The Ruptured Duck, and comes with it's original certificate of authenticity. The armband is constructed of light weight red wool with a separately applied white cloth disk with a one piece construction black swastika attached to the armband with yellow-gold colored thread. The center of the armband has a 2cm stripe of golden oak leaves. Above this central stripe there are 1mm stripes of gold mesh fabric. The edges of the armband are piped with white thread and have another gold mesh stripe below.
