SOLD - German Army Dagger with Portepee (101524-16-AB)

Description

10/25/24 - This is a great example of a German Army dagger by WKC. The blade has beautiful cross graining throughout and is maker stamped on one side. There's some mild speckling and light oxidation in a few areas, as well as some typical scabbard rub wear throughout the blade. No signs of sharpening. The handle has no cracks or chips, and the metal hand guard and pommel still retain some of the original finish. The handle has some dull areas on the backside that appears to be consistent with wear from rubbing against a uniform. Comes with an original scabbard as shown. The scabbard is straight with no dent and retains almost all of its original finish. There is some minor finish loss and nicks along the edges of the scabbard. This dagger also comes with a German army NCO's Portepee that is in excellent condition, as pictured.
