Description
11/3/22 - This is an original WW1 production BAR Gunner (2nd Assistant) Ammo belt. The canvas is in excellent condition throughout with minimal staining and some mild aging and patina on the buckles and metal fittings. No rust or significant issues. There are 2 large and 2 smaller sized pouches on each side, with the interior of each side being ink stamped "LONG 7-18". The connecting brown canvas belt is ink stamped as well, but this stamp is illegible. The larger pouches were for spare magazines or a field repair kit, while the smaller pouches were for M1903 stripper clips. A fairly scarce piece from early BAR production.Specifications
