11/22/24 - This is a Colt Model 1851 Navy Revolver, manufactured in 1859 and chambered in .36 Caliber. It is all matching, but the barrel wedge appears to be un-numbered. The barrel wedge screw head is broken in half. The original Naval Engagement scene on the cylinder is almost entirely worn (<10% visibility). The gun has lost virtually all of its finish with spotty patina and light pitting throughout. Fitted with period-correct wood grips - the edges are rounded from age, and there is a chip along the edge of the right panel. The bore has pretty good rifling, but there is spotty surface rust and oxidation throughout. Fully functional with good timing. No FFL required.
