Description

11/22/21 - This is a rare Australian Special Forces Z Knife. These knives were given to the commando strike force Special Operations unit. Composed mostly of Australians under the British military. The Z unit conducted over 80 commando raids behind Japanese lines. Their best known mission was Operation Jaywick, a successful raid on Japanese shipping in Singapore harbor, where Z Special Unit sank 7 Japanese ships. Each commando was trained as a paratrooper, marine, mountaineer, and saboteur, and was deadly in hand to hand combat. This blade is broad arrow proof stamped, and has multiple inspection proof stamps on the handle and blade. The blade has some mild patina and surface wear but no major issues. No scabbard included.
