SOLD - Matching K98 Bayonet with Frog (120924-1 - AB)

12/16/24 - This is a great example of a Matching German K98 Bayonet. This bayonet comes with the original matching scabbard and correct frog. The scabbard and the metal parts on the handle of this bayonet appear to have been cleaned causing most of the original finish to be lost. However, the waffen stamps on the pommel are still present and easily visible. The blade on this bayonet is in near mint condition with almost all of its original deep plumb finish still intact. The only areas where this finish is missing is from standard scabbard wear. Both the blade and the scabbard are serial numbered, "5015". The blade is additionally maker marked on the other side with "Gebr. Heller", and the scabbard is marked "Gebr. Heller 1937" on the other side. The blade has no signs of being sharpened, and is date stamped "37" on the spine for 1937. The leather frog is in excellent condition and is maker stamped on the back "Wilhelm Eilers" and date stamped 1941.
