SOLD - Reichskriegsflagge 2x3.35m

Description

12/15/22 - This is a 2 x 3.35m (about 6.5x11ft) Kriegsmarine Reichskriegsflagge. This huge flag would have likely flown from a German Naval base or large military ship. The hoist still has the original chord, which is sewn to the hoist's exterior as shown. There's a clear Kriegsmarine Eagle/M ink stamp as well as flag designation and size ink stamp as shown on one side of the hoist. The flag is in great condition with some natural yellowing from age and a few very small holes (shown in photos, one near the base of the flag and one within the central circle, but both are very small). There is some mild fraying along the edges as well. All of the stitching is excellent and original. Passes a black light inspection as well. *Note the flag shown in the first photo is not the flag offered: We didn't have space in the photo studio to take a full length photo of this example.
