SOLD - Rare Camouflage Luftwaffe Helmet

12/22/22 - This is an original Luftwaffe M40 Camo Helmet from WW2. The helmet exterior has "Normandy Camo" with dark green and light tan colored paint. There's some mild surface patina and a few light scuffs on the helmet exterior, mostly near the crown of the helmet as shown. This surface wear is mixed within the camo paint, which helps assure collectors this is an original. This was also verified as original by helmet expert Kelly Hicks. The exterior of the helmet also features a Luftwaffe decal that is only about 30% visible, with more of a shadow of the decal remaining. The interior shell is maker and size stamped "SE68" which is a desirable, larger size. The metal liner band doesn't show signs of tampering or replacement. The leather liner is original and in good condition with some surface wear and discoloration throughout. Comes with an original leather chinstrap that's RBN numbered on one end.
