Description

1/9/25 - This is a very nice example of a factory-nickeled Colt Model 1877 DA Lightning Sheriff's Model Revolver, chambered in .38 Caliber. According to the included Colt Factory Letter, it left the factory with a nickel finish and was shipped to JP Moores Sons in New York, New York on August 30, 1882. It is all matching and has retained most of its finish. There are some just some tiny flakes in the finish here and there and micro-scratches in the finish throughout. Fitted with slightly worn period-correct black hard rubber grips. The bore has pretty good rifling, but there is tiny pitting in the grooves. Fully functional. No FFL required.
