Description

7/29/21 - This is a nice example of a Colt Model 1911 issued to the US military in 1918. It is all correct except for the barrel. This one has the earlier separated "H P" barrel. It should have the conjoined "HP". Even though it doesn't have the technically correct barrel for this year, the barrel it does have is actually rarer. The gun has retained roughly 70% of its original blued finish. There is spotty wear and oxidation on the straps and right side of the slide and frame. There is also spotty wear and spotty oxidation on the top and right side of the slide and right side of the frame. It comes with excellent grips and a period-correct two-tone magazine. The bore is very nice and has good rifling.
