Description
7/5/23 - This is an interesting example of a "between the wars" luger. It started out as a 1920's era commercial gun - crown/N commercial proofs indicate that. Also, it would have been made by DWM, but later reworked during the Nazi era (See WaA66 proof on right side). This rework was most likely done in the 1930's when the Nazi's were in power and trying to sneak guns into inventory which violated the Treaty of Versailles. They added the police sear safety, and the extra magazine safety. It is all matching and has an added police unit marking "L. Mg. 107." or "Rural Police of Magdeburg" on the front strap. It has retained about 95% of its finish. There is spotty/scratchy wear and tiny freckling on the straps, minor wear on the side plate, side rails, and around the muzzle, and a few small handling marks here and there. Comes with excellent un-numbered grips and a police arsenal-numbered matching magazine (Star K proofed). The bore is shiny with good rifling.Specifications
