Description

8/19/21 - This is a nice example of a Mauser P.38 issued to the Nazi military in 1943. This BYF 43 is also in the "S" serial block. It is all matching and has the proper "Waffen 135" military proofs. Comes with excellent grips and a period-correct magazine. It has retained somewhere between 85-90% of its original finish. Most of the wear is on the front strap, but there is also minor wear on the high edges of the slide and around the muzzle. There is minor pitting along all of the high edges of the left side of the slide. Some spotty oxidation here and there, most noticeable on the front strap. The bore has strong rifling with freckling in the grooves. De-cocker is not functional.
