9/24/21 - This is a nice example of a Springfield Model 1903 rifle issued to the US military during WW1, in 1918. The receiver and barrel both date to 1918. The barrel also has an "SA" Springfield marking and a military flaming bomb proof. The stock has an "Eagle Head" military proof and "RA-P" inspector initials. Comes with an original front sight hood. The gun has lost the majority of its original finish. There are areas of thinning, spotty oxidation, and minor patina throughout. The stock has minor dings, bruises, and minor scratches throughout.
