SOLD - Nazi Spreewerk P.38 (504y - 23371)

Description

12/21/22 - This is a nice example of a Spreewerk P.38 issued to the Nazi military in December of 1944. The gun is all matching and has the proper "Eagle 88" military acceptance proofs. There are two asterisk markings on the right side of the slide, indicating the slide failed inspection twice and was sent back the factory twice for repair. The finish is a little darker than we're used to, so we think the gun has an old re-finish. In any case, it has retained about 90% of its bluing. There is minor thinning on the front strap and minor wear on the high edges of the front strap. There is pin-pricking around the muzzle. Brown patina on the underside of the frame and on the front strap. Spotty oxidation on both sides of the slide and on the barrel. Some very small casting flaws on the right side of the slide. Comes with excellent bakelite grips and a proper E/88 mag. Minty bore. De-cocker is functional. NOTE: The mag shown in the photos was replaced with a correct Spreewerk mag.
