Description
11/5/21 - This is a beautiful example of a Colt Model 1911A1 issued to the US Military in Early 1944. It is all-correct, - "United States Property" marked, has the proper cross-canon military cartouche on the right side of the frame, and has the proper "GHD" inspector initials. It has a "Colt Auto .45" barrel with a small "F" under the lug - correct for this year. This one also has a pair of original "sweetheart" acrylic grips that feature a black and white photo of a woman. Also included with this gun is a pair of original period-correct grips if you wanted to swap them out. The gun is in beautiful, near-mint condition, retaining about 99% of its original parkerized finish with just a hint of wear on some of the high edges. Unfortunately, someone very lightly scratched the initials "ATC" on the front strap just below the trigger guard. The bore has decent rifling but there is minor pin-pricking throughout.Specifications
