Description
4/12/22 - This is a mint example of a Colt / Ithaca Model 1911A1 originally issued to the US military in 1944. The frame was made by Ithaca, and the slide was made by Colt. This particular gun was part of the NRA Program in the 1960's. It was reworked in 1963 at the Red River Arsenal in Texas and sold to the public as a part of NRA's Program with the US Army Department. Included with the gun is the original box and several original serialized papers including the receipt, certification paperwork form the Department of the US Army, and NRA owners manual. The gun is in mint condition, retaining virtually all of its new parkerized finish - there are just a few extremely faint scuffs here and there. Comes with excellent WW2-era plastic grips and a proper "R" marked magazine. The bore has very strong rifling, but there is some light spotty oxidation around the muzzle end.Specifications
