Description

11/23/21 - This is an excellent example of a Spreewerk P.38 issued to the Nazi military in February of 1944. It is all matching and has the proper "Eagle 88" Nazi military acceptance proofs throughout. There is an asterisk marking on the right side of the barrel, indicating it failed initial inspection and was sent back to the factory for repair. The finish is a little dark, so we believe the gun was "Russian dipped". There are no Russian "X's". In any case, it has retained about 98% of its finish. There is just a hint of wear around the muzzle and some small handling marks/scratches on the barrel and slide, most noticeable on the left side of the slide. Comes with excellent grips and an un-marked period-correct magazine. Minty bore. De-cocker is functional.
