2/2/22 - This is a near-mint example of a Finnish Mosin Nagant M39 issued to the Finnish Civil Guard in 1943. The M39 was an improvement over the other Finnish Mosin predecessors, and is arguably their best design. The rifles made specifically for the Sk (Civil Guard) were all made at Sako between 1942 and 1944. Only 10,500 rifles form part of this contract and they can be identified by the letters “SkY” stamped over the serial number, as is the case with this example. This example is all matching (except for the barrel) and has the proper "SA" property mark. Import mark on the barrel. The gun has retained nearly all of its bluing with minor handling marks here and there. The stock is also proofed and dated 1943. It is in mint condition. The gun comes with a cleaning rod and "SKY"-marked canvas sling. The bore is mint.
