Description
12/10/21 - This is a very nice example of a Swedish Mauser M38 rifle issued to the Swedish military in 1942. This one is all matching, has the proper "Crown" Swedish military proofs throughout, and comes with an original cleaning rod and leather sling. The gun also comes with a period-correct blank-firing muzzle attachment that screws onto the end of the barrel. These were used when firing blank wood bullets - likely for training. The back of the left side of the bolt assembly is numbered with an electro pencil to match the receiver. Import mark on the barrel. The gun has retained the majority of its finish, but there is noticeable scratchy wear on the whole barrel, underside of the trigger guard, and on the bolt release lever. Some splotchy discoloration on the underside of the gun, just behind the front barrel band. Some of the small parts have retained their original fire bluing. The stock is nice and is properly "Crown"-proofed - there are just minor dings and scratches throughout. The bore is excellent - shiny with strong rifling.Specifications
