Description

12/17/21 - This is a very nice example of a Spreewerk P.38 issued to the Nazi military in October of 1943. The gun is all matching and has the proper "Eagle 88" Nazi military acceptance proofs throughout. There is an asterisk marking on the right side of the slide, indicating it failed initial inspection and was sent back to the factory for repair. It has retained about 92% of its bluing. Most of the finish loss is on the front strap, but there are areas of very minor wear around the high edges of the slide and around the muzzle. Just a hint of thinning on the barrel and some very light surface scratches here and there on the slide. Comes with excellent reddish grips and an un-marked period-correct magazine. The bore has decent rifling with very minor pin-pricking throughout and some areas of very light freckling. De-cocker is functional.
