Description

1/6/22 - This is a nice example of a Mauser P.38 issued to the Nazi military in 1943. The gun is all matching and has the proper "Eagle 135" Nazi military acceptance proofs throughout. It has retained roughly 80% of its original "dust blue" finish. Generally, there is wear around the high edges and around the muzzle. Most of the finish loss is on the front strap, but there is noticeable thinning on most surfaces. There is spotty oxidation on all surfaces and some very minor pin-pricking on both sides of the slide and barrel. Comes with excellent period-correct reddish grips and a matching magazine that was numbered post-factory. The bore has good rifling with areas of minor pin-pricking throughout. The Mausers from 1942 and early 43 are desirable due to the rare dusty blue finish. De-cocker is functional.
