Description

1/7/22 - This is a very nice example of a Springfield Krag Model 1898, manufactured in 1899. Overall, it is in very nice condition. It has retained most of its original bluing, but there is spotty wear on the left side of the receiver, on the magazine, and on the rear barrel band. There is some light spotty oxidation on both barrel bands and on the trigger guard. Some tiny pits around the muzzle. The stock has a faint military inspection stamp on the left side and a very crisp "P" marking around the wrist. The wood is very nice with only minor dings and handling marks here and there. Comes with a nice brown leather sling. The bore is very nice - great rifling with some minor pin-pricking in the grooves.
