Description
1/24/22 - This is an excellent example of a scarce WW2 US Marine Corps rebuilt Springfield Armory M1903 Rifle. The receiver dates to 1918. The barrel is Springfield Armory-marked and is dated October of 1942. It has all of the proper characteristics for these USMC rebuilt rifles : There is stippling on the butt plate, it has a black parkerized rear sight, enlarged hatcher hole, enlarged drilling hole on the bolt, there are vise marks on the underside of the top handguard, and there is very light numbering on the top of the bolt (very hard to make the number out). Overall, the gun is in excellent condition. There is some minor wear around the muzzle, minor scratchy wear on the front end of the receiver, and one spot of wear on the left side of the receiver. There is some dark discoloration on the front end of the floor plate. The stock is near-mint with a small scuff on the left side near the muzzle. The bore is mint.Specifications
