Description

1/13/22 - This is an excellent example of a beautifully-engraved 9mm Walther PP sold in the commercial market in 1940. The gun is all matching, and the original firing proofs have been engraved-over. The whole surface of the gun features a gorgeous and ornate traditional German oak leaf and acorn engraving pattern. While the engraving appears to be done in the right Germanic Oak Leaf and Acorn style, we do not believe it was factory engraved but rather done recently. The gun also has a really nice nickel-plated finish that we believe was done after the engraving. The gun has retained virtually all of its nickel-plating, but there is some dulling here and there. The gun comes with excellent black bakelite grips and a period-correct 9mm finger extension magazine. The bore has decent rifling, but there is minor pin-pricking throughout.
