12/10/25 - This is a First Generation Colt Single Action Army from 1897. Chambered in .44-40 with a 5.5" barrel. All numbered parts are technically matching, but the barrel is a 3rd Generation replacement, and the frame appears to have been re-numbered. The majority of the finish loss is on the grip straps, but there is also some minor thinning in the case-hardening on the frame. Some very light freckling here and there on the frame. Fitted with nice smooth wood grips - only minor bruising. Mint bore.
