SOLD - 1900 DWM American Eagle Luger (8287 - 13468)

11/12/20 - This is a scarce and desirable DWM Model 1900 American Eagle Luger. It's all matching and original aside from the barrel, which has had the finish restored on it (but still matching). The rest of the gun shows honest age and wear, with most of the finish loss on the front strap but patina on both straps. The original grips are present and matching to the gun. They're in great shape with no major issues. Original magazine with Germany export mark, which is also seen on the front of the frame. The bore does show lots of use, with smoothing and minor freckling throughout. This is the first production model of this variation, made in or around 1900 with early dish toggle. These pistols went to the US retail market and the manufacturers at DWM realized that nation-based crests increased sales of these lugers, so that is why you find the American Eagle over the chamber. This is also why you see GERMANY marked on the frame, denoting these were exported for commercial sale.
