Description
8/13/26 - This is an original Model 1900 Model DWM American Eagle Luger fitted with original Ideal grips. These have slots to accept an Ideal Holster/Stock combo. The Ideal Holster Company applied for the patent on their grip and stock/holster in 1901, and the design uses a set of special grip panels with metal locking surfaces in them in conjunction with some very clever angular geometry to allow the stock to be easily attached and detached when in the short position, but lock tight and secure when the stock is extended to shooting length. This listing does not come with the stock, but the grips are very rare. The gun is all matching with an American Eagle seal on the chamber. There was originally no hold-open but one has been added. The gun has retained roughly 75-80% of its bluing. The majority of the finish loss is on the grip straps where there is also light brown patina. There is also general high edge and muzzle wear. The wood grips are in decent condition overall, but there is noticeable bruising on both sides. Comes with a blank bottom wood magazine. The bore shows a slight bulge in the barrel toward the muzzle end. Otherwise, the bore is excellent.
