Description
9/3/26 - This is an original Model 1900 Model DWM American Eagle Luger rig with original Ideal grips and stock/holster combo. The Ideal Holster Company applied for the patent on their grip and stock/holster in 1901, and the design uses a set of special grip panels with metal locking surfaces in them in conjunction with some very clever angular geometry to allow the stock to be easily attached and detached when in the short position, but lock tight and secure when the stock is extended to shooting length. The grips are rare, but the stocks are even more difficult to find. There are in good shape overall, though obviously show wear/age. The metal of the stock is covered in brown patina and spotty oxidation. The pistol is all matching and original with high edge wear on muzzle, side plate, and side rails. Spotty wear and pin-pricking on both grip straps. The rifling in the bore is a little worn with tiny pitting throughout.
