Description
6/4/18 - This is a great example of a very scarce "fat barrel" luger, made in 1902-1904 time frame, that retains about 97% of its original bluing with some wear on high edges and some light patination/wear starting to develope on the grip straps. All matching gun, it has an excellent bore and grips. Very few of these guns were made (around 250) and all had a slightly larger external diameter barrel, giving the gun its nickname. The gun has an "American Eagle" on the chamber and a 'GERMANY' marking on the front of the frame, denoting a production for US market. High condition examples are rare and often reach astronomical prices in high teens. This particular gun is a high condition and original example priced below market. A scarce early variation, second in rarity only to the "cartridge counter" lugers.
