Description
10/2/25 - This is a nice example of a Colt Bisley revolver, manufactured in 1912. The Colt Bisley Model was introduced in 1894 as a target-shooting variant of the famous Single Action Army, named after the renowned Bisley shooting range in England. Chambered here in .32 WCF (.32-20), it features the signature Bisley profile with a lowered hammer, wider trigger, and distinctive grip frame designed for precision shooting. Produced until 1915 with approximately 44,350 examples made across all calibers, only a relatively small percentage were ordered in the less common .32 WCF, making this an appealing find for collectors. The Bisley holds a unique place in Colt history, representing the transitional era of the late 19th and early 20th centuries when competitive shooting heavily influenced revolver design. The finish on this one rates somewhere between 85-90% with most of the finish loss being on the grip straps. While there isn't a ton of actual finish loss, there is noticeable spotty oxidation and minor pitting throughout. Fitted with black hard rubber grips. The bore has decent rifling, but there is tiny pitting throughout. Fully functional.
