Description
1/16/26 - This is a Colt Model 1911 originally issued to the US military in 1915. It was later reworked for use during WW2, as evidenced by the "AA" arsenal marking on the left side of the frame. It comes as a rig with a correct 1915-dated holster, cavalry swivel, canvas belt, canvas magazine pouch (dated 1918), and three WWI-era magazines. The gun is fitted with an unmarked barrel and has an arsenal-applied parkerized finish. There is very little actual finish loss. Just some general high edge and muzzle wear, areas of light pin-pricking here and there, and a small area of light spotty oxidation on the top of the slide. Comes fitted with WWI-era wood grips. The bore has pretty good rifling, but there is light pin-pricking throughout.
