Description
10/19/26 - This is a very nice example of a DWM Luger issued to the Imperial German military in 1916. Adopted by the German army in 1908 as the P.08, the Luger served as Germany's standard sidearm throughout WWI, with DWM as its principal maker. It is all matching with the proper Imperial military acceptance proofs on the right side of the receiver, and it is fitted with excellent matching-numbered wood grips. The original finish rates about 94%, with general high edge and muzzle wear; most of the actual finish loss is on the side plate and the left side of the muzzle, where there are also a few small spots of oxidation. There is also some oxidation on the takedown lever and light freckling on the grip straps. Comes with a period-correct but mismatched magazine. Minty bore. A crisp WWI-era DWM with matching grips and a strong bore.
