Description
6/5/26 - This is a nice example of a shooter-grade DWM Luger. The chamber is "double dated" with an original 1917 issue date and a 1920 government property marking. This indicates the gun was originally issued to the Imperial German military in 1917 and remained in government service after the war. It likely went to the police. It has been tapped for a police sear safety, but there is no sear safety present. The gun is mismatched with Weimar-era proofs and Imperial proofs on the right side of the slide. "Crown RC" markings as well. There is a "Circle S" on the left side of the slide. Replaced front sight blade. There is general high edge wear, muzzle wear, wear along the left side of the barrel, freckling on the grip straps, and some areas of minor pitting here and there. Fitted with wood grips - the left is numbered and matching (small chip), the right is un-numbered but Imperial-proofed. Comes with a "Made in Germany" marked magazine. The bore has good rifling with minor frosting throughout.
